Daytona 250 Results

Daytona 250 Notes:

Cory Roper and the No.04 Ford F-150 team ran as high as 2nd in the final stages of Friday’s Daytona 250 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway before catching a draft coming out of turn 4 on lap 76 that forced the truck into a hard turn left into the barrier wall ending the night for the #04 truck.

• This event marks Roper’s first time to race Daytona Speedway for the Texas based race team. • Roper is currently in the running for Sunoco’s Rookie Contender of the Year for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.

• Roper started the race from the 25th position and made a consistent run to the front of the pack barely missing two wrecks in the field behind him. At the beginning of the final Stage, Roper had worked his way to the top 10 closely following the race leader, Austin Hill. After an unfortunate turn into the wall, Roper came away from Daytona in 20th place.

• Austin Hill scored the win in the Daytona 250 NGOTS. Grant Enfinger, Ross Chastain, Spencer Boyd, and Matt Crafton completed the top five.

Talk about your first time at Daytona:

“Great Experience. I wished it would have ended better. The crew worked extremely hard to give me a fast truck that would run up front. I wished I could have made a few better choices while I was in there but I’m extremely happy about how we ran and what we accomplished. Already Looking forward to Talladega.”
